This tribal kilim pillow is finished with knife edge construction, double stitched seams and a center back invisible zipper for durability and a tailored finish.

Textile Origin: Originating in the Central Asian town of Bukhara, now Uzbekistan, this tribal rug is known for its distinctive symmetrical pattern of an octagon or diamond medallions called guls which repeat throughout, many with a stylised border. A rich primary red with black and ivory accents are the classics colours found in this textile using a vegetable dye to achieve these vivid hues. Wool is hand spun by the women of these nomadic tribes on their portable looms with symbolic designs identifying their tribes beliefs and iconic protector motifs.
